Today I am thankful for new life.
Yesterday, my youngest cousin on my mother's side- Ellisa, gave birth to her second baby boy, Gunnar. Ever since I've know Ellisa (which is her whole life), she has loved babies. Now, I know she and her husband, Graham, are enjoying being parents to their own two boys.
Today, a long-time friend, Angela, gave birth to her first child, Thomas. Angela is going to be a great mommy, because she used to stay with us when my parents would go out-of-town and always took great care of my brother and me. The only time I've met Angela's husband, Rick, was at their wedding. But, I know Rick has to be a great man because he chose to spend the rest of his life with a great woman. Congratulations to Angela and Rick on your first child!
Every time a baby is born is proof to me that God has not given up on mankind. While accepting the life cycle means we will eventually lose the ones we love, today I am thankful for new life.
Welcome to the world Gunnar and Thomas. "May all who come behind us (including all the precious children) find us faithful"
