My brother and sister-in-law hosted what was probably the best birthday party I've ever had. They opened their home to me and many of our friends for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship. My brother grilled yummy hamburgers and hot dogs and everyone brought delicious sides and appetizers. Shannon and Janet made an awesome birthday cake and cupcakes, and our friend, Adam, made a wonderful homemade cheesecake.
The celebration included:
Matt and Angela
Adam
Chris
Jeff, April, and Kate
Alex and Beth
Dustin, Allison, and Georgiann
Brad and Sabrina
Jeff and Jake
Harry D, Shannon, Claire, and Harrison
You guys did a great job keeping the details a surprise. Thank you all for coming to help me celebrate. And, an extra-special thank you to the best brother and sister-in-law. Love you guys.

Today, day 13, I am thankful for the ability to read and write.
Somehow, every year I get " guilted" into playing in the Scrabble tournament in Collierville. It is a fundraiser for the Collierville Literacy Council. I am not a big Scrabble player, but the prizes are pretty good. Since my dad and uncle are pretty competitive players, I can usually count on a decent prize. That's how they're able to convince me to go. But, in all seriousness, there are way too many people who are not able to read. It's a gift I know I take for granted everyday!
Until next time...BE THANKFUL
