Today is my Friday since I'm off work tomorrow!!!! I'm not sure what I'll do with my day off, but I'm predicting there will be some napping involved. Last night was Women's Bible Study (from now on, referred to as WBS) at Square Beans in the 'ville. It was pretty good last night. I'll admit, I was a little iffy about the BS, but I like it. I had to be the spokesperson in my group last night. I'm really NOT the public speaker of the family. You never know what might come out of my mouth at any given moment. Sometimes, I think I have a chronic case of word vomit...I mean, the words just come out (just like in Mean Girls). Last night was no exception, and I said some pretty crazy stuff. Oh well, it really was what my group talked about.
Before WBS got started, I was asked to consider serving on the Confirmation leadership team next year. I'm very excited about this somewhat new adventure. I say somewhat because I've helped lead Confirmation on a much smaller scale when I lived in Jackson.
After WBS, it was off to supper at Chili's with the fam. We had a "Mom and Pops are going out-of-town"/ Mom's birthday supper. Mom was giving us details about the rehearsal dinner. It's going to be at Brooklyn Bridge and the menu sounds yummy. Toasted ravioli and something for appetizer, some kind of salad, pasta with marinara sauce for the pasta, salmon, chicken parmigiana, and steak for the entrees, and an assortment of Italian pastries for dessert. I was also informed that it's tradition for the maid of honor to give a toast. See above for what happens when I'm picked to talk to a large group of people.
When dinner was over, I had to go to my parent's house and pick up the dog. I'm dog-sitting Miss Ellie this weekend. She's very sad that her favorite people are gone. She's just been moping around the house and hasn't eaten any of her food. Maybe she'll be better tomorrow since I'm off, so I'll be home with her. I also went shopping in my parent's kitchen. I figured if they're going to be gone for 2 weeks, none of their food will be any good when they get back. So, I took some sandwich meat, avocados, bananas, tomatoes, mac-n-cheese, etc. Gotta love free grocery shopping...even if the goods are a bit used.
Until next time...I'M OFF TOMORROW- WOO HOO!!!!!!!

DUedette,
I'm so missing the whole WBS thing from WEdnesday....I feel like a loser! Where is Brooklyn Bridge? Never heard of it. But then again it doesn't serve pizza or chinese food! haha!! I love grocery shopping at the family's house. I used to do all kinds of shopping when I went home during college!! I still browse through stuff when I go home to see what I want to bring back! Have a great Friday at home napping....while I'm slaving at work!!
