WEDDING SHOWERS # 2 AND 3

Saturday was a crazy day. We had two wedding showers and a dinner. The first shower started at 10:00 with people from our Collierville church. We had brunch food, including blueberry muffins, fruit, lemon squares, sausage muffins, and more. This is Shannon with her mother and grandmother.

After Shannon opened presents, they made her stand up and tell everyone about the wedding planning and their plans for the near future.

Shower #2 was at 2:00 at our good friends, the Pettigrew's, house. Ms. Trudy and Tara had quite the spread. They had chocolate covered strawberries, mushroom puffs, some Paula Dean recipe that was really good, and more. Needless to say, we ate well on Saturday. Most of the people at that shower are from our former church, Covenant UMC.


After the second shower, Shannon and I had to lay down and take a rest. Unfortunately, we didn't get to rest that long. Our aunt and uncle from Mississippi had come into town to take everyone out to supper. My uncle does all the radio broadcasts for Mississippi State. Labor Day weekend is typically the opening game for most college football teams. Needless to say, he won't be able to come to the wedding, because he has to announce the ball game. So, he wanted to take everyone out to dinner and visit with Harry D and Shannon. We ate at Bonefish Grill in Collierville. It was delicious!!!!!

Saturday was an extremely busy and full day, but we had a great time. Let's just hope I can recuperate before the start of another crazy work week!
