SHOPPING AND EATING

Monday, after work, I met a couple of friends at my aunt's store. She's got her spring and summer clothes on sale, so we went to find some good deals. Angela got several items for 75% off...what a deal!!!!! I got a jacket that was on sale. It's blue, of course, with 3/4 length sleeves and three buttons on the front. Rachel got a hard wallet, which is really cool.

After shopping, we decided to eat at the new Mediterranean restaurant by the store. My aunt goes there pretty often and highly recommended it. I was not very adventurous, so I ordered the kabob platter with fries. You get a chicken, kabob, steak kabob, and ground beef with lamb kabob. The ground beef/ lamb kabob was not so good, but the other two were great. Angela ordered chicken kabob with baba ghanoush. Apparently, it's some type of pureed eggplant, something. I tasted it...no thanks. Rachel ordered hummus and more baba stuff. I tasted the hummus too...once again, not for me. Oh yea, we also had lentil soup...not so great. Take it from me...stick to ordinary meat and fries. You can't go wrong.

Another thing they do at Conoun is smoke the Hooka, after 6:00. We hung around for a while to see if anybody would do it, but no takers that night. Now, I wasn't very familiar with the hooka, but apparently it's big in the middle east. They put flavored tobacco in this crazy jar looking thing. A hose is attached, and that's what you smoke. I hear hooka bars are popular near college campuses. I guess I just went to the wrong school, because I'd never seen one before. It was quite the experience.

Until next time...JUST SAY NO TO HUMMUS AND BABA CRAP
