The end of August, we all went to St. Louis for a long weekend. This has been a family tradition for several years. This was the first trip to St. Louis for Claire and Jake (my cousin). We went to the Arch, Six Flags, and of course two ballgames. Above is a view of our hotel, Hilton at the Ball Park, from our seats in the stadium. Below is a picture of the arch and Claire trying on a hat in one of the gift shops. The Cardinals won both games!!!!
Of course, the highlight of Jake's trip was Six Flags. Harry D, Shannon, Jeff, Jake and I spent all morning at the water park. It was unusually cool for St. Louis in August, but we still had a blast on the water slides. We also rode a few roller coasters. Dad always loves to play the games, and he managed to win of the hardest games in the park. He threw a softball into a big jug with a very small opening. Our party of 8 and a baby soon became 8 and a baby and a big blue tiger.
