WHEN MOM'S AWAY...DAD WANTS TO PLAY

Friday night I went out to eat at Cracker Barrel with a friend. I won a bet that the Pittsburgh Steelers would beat the Baltimore Ravens. So, I got a free supper and chose Cracker Barrel. It's one of my favorite places to eat good 'ole soul food. I pretty much took it easy that night.

Saturday my mom had to gone to visit her mother and sister, so my dad was home alone with the dog. He called to see if I wanted to go with him to the Memphis vs Houston game. Of course I wanted to go...I rarely ever turn down the chance to go see the Tigers play. We had GREAT tickets (that we bought off the street) behind the Tigers bench. Coach Cal was dressed casual for the coaches vs cancer fundraiser. I guess people thought he looked like Mr. Rogers with his sweater and sneakers because there is a whole thread about it on the Tigers forum. Below is a picture that was posted on the forum. If you'll look closely at the top of the picture, you will see Dad and me at the game. When we got home, Taylor and Jennifer came by the house to visit. They had been shopping so it was good to catch up with them. It was great meeting you Jennifer...I hope you come back soon.

Later that evening, I met some friends at CiCi's for pizza. Thanks guys for letting me crash your pizza party.

After pizza, Jeff, Jake, and Ali came out and we all went bowling. I bowled horrible, but it was still fun.

Sunday, Dad and I went to our friends' The Pettigrew's house to watch the Superbowl. Dad and I are big Steelers fans so we were rooting for them. Congrats to the Steelers for winning a 6th chamionship ring. I must give props to Kurt Warner, though, because he is the class of the NFL. Warner is a great role model on and off the field and played a heck of a game.

Until next time...GO TIGERS and GO STEELERS
