WOW, WHAT A WEEK

This has definitely been one crazy busy, but very fun, week. My sister-in-law and niece were in town all week, and my brother was here both weekends. I have burned up the streets this past week.

Last Saturday evening, I hosted a Meet n Greet, so people could come see Baby Claire. Several of Harry D. and Shannon's friends stopped by. It was great to see everyone and hang out. And, Miss Claire was on her very best behavior. I don't think she cried at all.

Sunday, Claire went to church for the first time in her life. Her Papa was so proud to have her there. He held her while shaking hands, so everyone got to see her pretty face. She slept the entire time she was at church...she was as quiet as a church mouse.

Monday was MLK, Jr. day so I was off work!!! I spent most of the day hanging out with the parentals, sister, and niece. Claire's Great-Aunt Jen Jen and GG stopped by, so we had some company. That evening Dad and I went to the Grizzlies game. They played the Detroit Pistons. We had AWESOME seats on the first row, thanks to Mr. Giddis. We could see every single tatoo that Allen Iverson has. I wish I would have had my camera with me.

Tuesday, I had to go back to work. But, that night we went to Uncle Larry and Aunt Jan's house for supper. Cousin Jeff got to join us and everyone got to play with Baby Claire. Aunt Jan made us a yummy supper of roast beef and mashed potatoes with all the fixins. It was delicious. Unfortunately, Ali and Jake weren't there, so Claire has yet to meet them.

Wednesday evening, my dad, uncle, and I went to the Memphis State vs Rice game. Memphis won...no problem. I just love a 30 point blow-out. My ticket was in a different section from my dad and uncle, but I was able to sneak down and sit with them.

Thursday evening I had supper with one of my best friends, Tara. We ate at Crepe Maker in the Collierville mall. Tara had never been there before, and I was totally craving a crepe. They are soooo delicious. After supper, I bought three different dessert crepes and took them to mom, dad, and Shannon. They loved them, of course.

Friday, after work, it was back to Collierville to spend more time with the fam. Harry D. finished his training in Nashville and came home for the weekend. Dad ordered out Bola Pasta and they delivered the food. It's my favorite Italian restaurant in town. We had a great supper and hung out.

Saturday, it was back to Collierville to hang out with the entire family, as our time together was drawing to an end. We watched the Memphis vs UT basketball game. It was a very close game and Memphis barely won. I won't gloat too much, since Shannon is a big UT fan. Poor little Claire, she will have to have mixed loyalties to satisfy all her family members.

Today, we had to say goodbye to Harry D., Shannon, and Baby Claire. We did not want them to leave. It was such a great time having them here, and I miss them already. Harry D. officially starts his new job tomorrow, so he needed to get home and get a good night's rest. Good luck with new job, bro. Tonight was the youth chili dinner so mom and dad and I went and ate supper at the church. The chili was great, as always.

Until next time...I LOVE AND MISS YOU HARRY D, SHANNON, AND MY SWEET BABY CLAIRE
