I'M BACK TO THE WORLD OF BLOGGING

I know it's been forever since I've blogged. I think I'm going to make it a New Year's Resolution to stay current on my blogging. Gee, I wonder how long it will take me to break that one...

Let's see...after Thanksgiving time just flew by. Christmas has already come and gone. I had a great Christmas, but in some ways, feel like I totally missed it, at the same time. I attended a few Christmas parties, which were all very fun. The first of the festivities started at Karen's and Gilbert's house. They have a beautiful new home. The following Sunday, we had Christmas with my dad's brother's family. My cooked a wonderful lunch and we opened presents. I procrastinated on buying my gifts, so I had to go to Target between church and lunch and get presents for everyone...talk about some pressure. I decided to make candy for my cousin's,
which turned out to be a hit. The next Tuesday was the annual open house at our friend's, the Pettigrew's, house. Mrs. Trudy always has a great spread, and this year was no exception. Then, Thursday night was our work Christmas party. It was at Club Windward in Lakeland, which was very convenient for me.

We had nice Christmas Eve services. I helped serve communion at the 10:30 service. We were all very tired when we got home (after midnight), but managed to find enough energy to open presents. "Santa" was very good to me this year...I must have been a very good girl. I got the new iPod touch, and I must say, it's pretty freakin' awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I type, I'm downloading CD's to my computer to be put on my iPod (thanks to Mark- Shannon's dad).

Christmas morning we got up, opened our stockings, and packed the car to head to Knoxville. After a long day of driving, we arrived at Harry D's and Shannon's apartment, where they had Christmas dinner waiting. They made pork tenderloin, green bean casserole, caesar salad, mac n cheese, rotel dip, mashed potatoes, and sister shubert rolls. Everything was yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We came home on the 27th, just to turn around and come back to Knoxville today (the 29th). During our short stay at home, I made a diaper cake for a baby present. It turned out pretty cute, considering I've never done one before.

Tomorrow, Shannon will be induced and hopefully shortly after that, baby Claire will make her entrance in the world.

Until next time...I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNTIE
