RANDOM THOUGHTS

I haven't updated the blog in a long, long time. Apologies to all my fans (or lack thereof). I've been thinking a lot lately. It's scary; I know. And, all my thoughts are all jumbled together and in no particular order. I've been thinking a lot about work lately. All the good...and all the things that drive me nuts. I've also been thinking a lot about money. I think this is, in part, due to the upcoming (and now, very close) elections and current state of the economy. I've also been thinking a lot about how I can create radical change in my life. I'm thinking it could help my bank account out a ton. So, if you've got unique and doable ways to save money, I'd love to hear your ideas. I've also been thinking a lot about life, in general. I'm about to be another year older and am looking back on this past year, wondering if I've really, in truly, accomplished anything. Hmmm....

To change the subject, I had the most uneventful Friday night/ Halloween ever. I did three loads of laundry and was in bed before 10:00 pm. I tell ya, I'm such a party animal. On to some more exciting news, my friend Taylor came in town Saturday. We went to the Flying Saucer, which is always fun. I saw an old friend of mine there who was doing a promotion. We got free Dos XX t-shirts, beer, and flashing pins. Hey, it was free. And, of course, we had our usual cheese fries, soft pretzels, and chips & queso. What an unhealthy, but TASTY, supper! After the Saucer extravaganza, we went to Kroger and bought left-over Halloween candy. It was on sale, and we kept grabbing bags of candy. Yay, more unhealthy food :/.

Today, we celebrated All Saints Sunday. It's where the church remembers those who have gone to join the church triumphant in the past year. It was a nice service. After church, it was lunch at La Hacienda. Our friend, Herbie, joined us for lunch. It was a great time of food and fellowship. Apparently, all of Collierville UMC had the idea to eat Mexican food. Every time I go out to eat with friends and family, it reminds me of the great heavenly banquet. I'd like to believe my meal will consist of steak, potatoes, and chocolate!!! Yes, that's my idea of heaven.

Well, I think I've rambled enough.

Until next time...CARPE DIEM
